Why SCPedia?
Preservation of institutional knowledge and event details. There are many decisions, user presence, events and commentary that happens behind the scenes or hidden within forgotten forums, many of which can be lost to time if not properly recorded.
Essentially, the SCP Wiki is a wiki the SCP Foundation; SCPedia is a wiki for the SCP Wiki (among other things).
The name? It's just punny.
